This humble staple is not only tasty but offers a wide variety of benefits as well as having a fascinating history.
… Roman soldiers were sometimes paid in salt - hence the term SALARY!! … “Cyprus Salt is my favourite finishing salt. it’s sexy flakiness, comes with sharp and crunchy texture as well as an aesthetic appeal that will excite all your senses. #sexychef
.. “Salt contains sodium. Sodium is vital to neural signals. It also helps contract your muscles. There is a myth that diets high in salt leads to hypertension But diets high in salt also are high in fat, low in vegetables and usually are observed by sedentary people. If you are trying to limit your salt intake, try using flavourful herbs like ginger, garlic and oregano to add layers of flavour, and kicking up your physical activity is always a great idea” #smartassnutritionist
.. “Does anyone remember Veruca Salt? CUZ I DO!! Make this a true #tbt and listen to “Volcano Girls” at full blast while salting your favourite dish!” #sassymusicalgenius
don’t fear the F word, friends!

Have a great weekend!! #smartassnutritionist
Happy special edition of RR!
We wanted to save this delicious breakfast for your Sunday sensation! Here we have some zesty arepas made by our very own #sexychef
Arepas originate from both Venezuela and Colombia. There is much debate over the difference between the varieties that come from the two regions; Sometimes the corn flour contains cheese mixed into it, other times a flour based bread is used like a sandwich. #smartassnutritionist
Arepas can also be baked, pan seared or fried. Try them either way, you love it!! #sexychef

Here’s a tip: The cut of meat matters!
The best cuts of beef for steak are rib cuts and loin. These cuts are tender and do not need to be cooked too long. Don’t use brisket or eye of round if you want soft steak. Harder cuts of meat need to be cooked long to break down and are great for your slow cooker; helping you get that succulent roast beef. #smartassnutritionist
Try this pre-bed snack: kefir, chopped almonds and a drizzle of 100% pure Canadian maple syrup. Its sure to give you Sweet dreams friends #rapidrecipe
This one is for all the #eggsluts - rejoice for the humble egg saves the day again! Whether you’re frying, baking, poaching or boiling, the egg has become a staple for everyone from busy moms to body builders.
EASY 4 MINUTE BOIL
In a small pot add eggs and add enough cold water to cover. Heat over medium-high until the water reaches a boil. Once you achieve the boil simply turn off the heat and let stand for 4 minutes. Once cooled your eggs are ready to peel! 😘#sexychef 🐣 So what part of the egg is good for you , The white? The yellow? Actually egg one of the few things that carries a complete protein. You need both parts of the egg to get the complete protein ; the yellow has a lot of good essentials to help increase your good cholesterol and prevent heart disease.

"I AM SUPER STOKED ABOUT TODAY’S LUNCH, GUYS!!!
While I’m no #sexychef or #smartassnutritionist, I still love a delicious and healthy meal. I chose to make a tabbouleh-inspired pasta salad using sprouted grain pasta, which breaks down slowly in your body, causing you to feel full for longer. I threw in some chopped parsley, toasted almonds, red pepper and red onion & finished it off with olive oil and lemon juice. YUM!
Can’t wait for lunch when I can pop my headphones in and munch along to #BrokenBells - Holding on For Life
Check it out!! Xo😎 #sassymusicalgenius”
